1. Warm-up/technique: keep posture off the chair and sit at the edge of the chair.

2. Remembering repertoire: “Twinkle, Twinkle” and “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”. 

3. New Song: “May Song”, work on getting the first line to sound great, by playing it at least 3 times good!

1. Technique: stay on a steady rhythm! Prepare the next finger.

2. “May Song” work in tiny parts and put it together. Remember to play 3 Times good! Practice first and second line. mf- mezzoForte (half-loud)  p- piano (soft).

Performance Class piece: “”Go Tell Aunt Rhody”, practice each part good 3 times. Play the first line in full, play the seconding in full. (Go back if you make mistakes)

4. Repertoire: “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”, get in a great posture first! Pracrice the first and second line in parts. Play at least 3 times good! Practice memory.

2. Sight reading: exercises 17 and 18

3. Rhythm book. Exercises 8, 9 and 10. “Ta-ah and Conduct”.

4. Repertoire: “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”, practice the first line in parts. 

Lets aim for at least 3 practices this week

2017-2018 Lesson 17

1. Warm-up/technique. New sticker to keep the thumb on! Pay attention to your 3rd finger and make it round!

2. Sight reading: exercises 17 and 18

3. Rhythm book. Exercises 4, 5, 6 and 7. “Ta-ah and Tap” . Notes and rests.

4. Repertoire: pick one song to practice this week. It could be anything you have played before. It could even be the beginning of “Prelude No.9”. ;)

2017-2018 Lesson 16

We chose “Happy birthday” as our performing piece on Feb 11th. 

1. Warm-up-technique. 

2. Practicing “Happy Birthday”: say the name of the notes on the 1st part, play it good 3 times! Do he same for 2nd part. Play 1st and second part all together. Practice 3rd part 3 Times good and part 4, 3 times good as well. Play 3rd and 4th together. At the End play the whole song!

207-2018 Lesson 15

1. Warm-up/technique. Focus on keeping your finger ROUND, you will need this for “Prelude No. 9”! Keep your thumb on the blue star sticker.

2. Sight reading: exercises 16 and 17. Pick one each time you practice.

3. Rhythm book. Exercises 1, 2 and 3. “Ta-ah and Tap” . Look if the note goes for 1, 2, 3 or 4 beats!

4. Repertoire: “Prelude No. 9” practice the exercise for the right hand first and then play the first and second line of the music. You add the first finger to the Do and keep the same right hand pattern. Second line, add the finger 2 to the la.

Its OK if the music or the note doesn’t sound as you wish at first. This is practice! You are allowed to make mistakes! Feeling angry and frustrated because of a simple sound it’s really bad. And you shouldn’t be allowed to feel this way about improoving yourself! :D :D :D

2. Sight reading: exercises 9, 10 and 11. Pick one each time you practice.
