2018-2019 Lesson 3

1. Warm-up/Techhique Exercise. Please start your practice by training your fingers. Play 4 times each finger starting with the open string. Keep fingers aligned with the string! 

2. “Star Wars” Practice saying the name of the notes with the paper then flip it over and play from memory! Work on the first 4 lines!  

2018-2019 Lesson 2

1. Warm-up/Technique Exercise: pick a string, play it FOUR times, add finger 1, play FOUR times... 

2. “Exercise 13”, keep strings ringing, don’t mute them! Use 2 fingers on the right hand. 

3. “Star Wars”, practice first 4 lines. Go Slow first and use the fingers that are suggested on the paper. 

2018-2019 Lesson 1

1. Warm-up/Technique: play each note 4 Times! Fingers round!

2. Remembering “Ode to Joy” and “Lightly Row”. Play next week both songs without the paper! 

3. “Star Wars”, learn it slowly and use your knowledge on this song to make it sound good. Look at the notes on the bottom of the page to guide you through the 3rd and 4th line.

2017-2018 Lesson 31

1. Technique: play first open string and keep a steady rhythm between left hand fingers!

2. “Star Wars”, use the music to practice first 4 lines. Use your ears to guide you. 

3. Keep playing “old” songs! 

2017-2018 Lesson 26 and 27 (45min)

1. Technique/Warm-up: Remember to play each note 4 times! 

2. “Exercise 13”. Work on the C part. Practice slow and steady. 

3. “Prelude No. 9”, keep practicing your right hand technique for it and have to goal tonokay from beginning to end. (Video on lesson 25)

2017-2018 Lesson 25 (45min)

1. Warm-up/Technique: our Exercise is to play 4 Times an open string and then 4 times with finger 1 down, 4 Times with fingers 2... until 4 and then back. Stay on a steady rhythm and use your thumb flat on the back! Round fingers and play with fingertips.

2. Keep playing “old” songs: “Ode to Joy” and “Lightly Row”. Memory!

3. “Exercise 13”, make sure all is awesome (including Liam), NOTES/RHYTHM/FINGERS. Don’t repeat right hand fingers! Memory!

4. “Prelude No. 9”, place “p” on 6th string, “I” on 3rd, “m” on 2nd and “a” on 1st.

- play “p” and touch 4th string, then play “I”, “m”, “a”, “m”, “I”.

2017-2018 Lesson 23 and 24 (45min)

1. Warm-up/Technique: our Exercise is to play 4 Times an open string and then 4 times with finger 1 down, 4 Times with fingers 2... until 4 and then back. Stay on a steady rhythm and use your thumb flat on the back! Round fingers and play with fingertips.

1. Technique/Warm-up: pick at least 2 strings and keep your rhythm steady between fingers on the left hand so you practice speed with the left hand as well!

2. “Ode to Joy” and “Lighly Row”: Keep playing and practicing it!

3. “Exercise 13”, Goal: use the best technique in this piece. Focus on your fingertips and Right Hand Fingers. Say the finger name of a small part and then practice your Right hand fingers.

All has to be good, including Liam.

2017-2018 Lesson 21

1. Warm-up/technique: pick at least 2 strings and keep your rhythm steady between fingers on the left hand so you practice speed with the left hand as well!

2. “Ode to Joy” and “Lighly Row”: Keep playing and practicing it!

3. “Exercise 13” GOAL: play from beginning to end with the right:

Notes/Rhythm/Fingers

Right Hand fingers are really important as well! If you could do A Part with the best finger, you can do B and C Good!

Play with the paper enough times so you can play without the paper! 

All has to be good, including Liam.

2017-2018 Lesson 18

1. Warm-up/technique: pick at least 2 strings and keep your rhythm steady between fingers on the left hand.

2. Ode to Joy: Keep playing and practicing it!

3. Lightly Row: Practice in parts and put them together. Great job this week!

GOAL: play from beginning to end with the right:

2017-2017 Lesson 17

1. Warm-up/technique: (Video from Lesson 14)

- Let’s try and speed up our left hand by going a bit slower with the right hand and keeping a steady rhythm between left hand fingers.

2. Ode to Joy: Keep playing and practicing it! Sounding much better!

3. Lightly Row: Practice in parts and put them together. I’ve written the name of the notes on the score and with the other paper from “lesson 2” you can find the notes on the guitar. Practice 1st and second line. If you have more time read the notes on the 3rd line.
