Listening assignment

We talked a little bit about Francis Poulenc in our lesson on Friday. Please listen to this Poulenc set (he wrote it for kids!) and follow along with the translations. (Copied a link to the translations below!) Write down some observations about what you hear/what you feel when you hear this music.

IPA Chart

Sometime in the next couple days, please write me a SECRET letter using the IPA symbols found on page 12 of your RCM syllabus. I will write you a letter back with IPA when I receive yours.

2019-2020 Lesson 10 of 16 (November 19, 2019)

Theory

Great work on all of your ear training work this week, Maya! Please pick up in Chapter 5 of your Theory book over this break. It will be a great review in the key of F major before your RCM exam.

Ear Training

Please practice the sight singing exercises I composed in the back of your binder. Continue to review intervals ascending and descending.

RCM Repertoire

Please make sure you are totally memorized on your RCM songs. Keep thinking about the words that you are singing and how to communicate the text of the song! We will work on this more when I see you on Tuesday.
