  • Harmony:

    • Improvise the harmonic progression through different variations of voice leading

  • Melody:

    • Memorize the contour of the melody. Solfege by memory.

    • Voice 1: memorize with legato fingers

    • Voice 2: memorize, thinking of scale degrees. Don’t hold notes past their value.

    • Voices 1 & 2: using music, memorize. Pedaling?

    • Voice 3: improvise how you play the written notes.

    • Voices 1-3: Pedaling - don’t want the melody sound muddy.

    • Voices 2-3: combine

    • Voices 1, 2 & 3: NO PRESSURE BY TEMPO OR RHYTHM.

  • Rhythm:

    • Play up to tempo - find out what needs needs. Find the weakest links.
