Practice speaking letter names forward and backward now with a steady beat. Metronome marking 60 per letter name is a good tempo (A, B, C, E, F & G)

Prepare pages 52-55 found in the left side of your white binder
đź’šRHYTHM: Basic Rhyhmic Training
Please prepare number 8 (clap the beat and tah the rhythm). Notice the “time signature!”
❤️A Skating Waltz
LEARNING: as much as possible.
Choose your chunk! (mm. 1-3 for example)
Start hands alone: N, F, P, E, R
NOTES: Say the names of the notes.
FINGERING: Say and play the finger numbers in your lap or on the table
POSITION: say and play the notes on the keyboard with good postiion
EXPRESSION: play the notes with the correct dynamics and articulation
RHYTHM: metronome 40 to 60 = quarter note. Count and play (no need to say the names of notes)
Then review LH once (rhythm), then play HT. Keep eyes on the music
❤️TERMS: memorize all the following
❤️A “half step” = movement from one note to the very next note up or down (can be black or white). For example, E to F, or E to E-flat
❤️A “whole step” = two half steps (skipping one note). For example, C to D, or C to B-flat.
❤️A “Flat” = a half step lower. For example, B becomes B-flat.
❤️A “sharp” = a half step higher. For example, C becomes C-sharp.
❤️P = Piano = Soft
❤️A curved line = slur = play smooth and connected

Practice starting from any measures of the piece! Ask Siri to choose a number between 1 and 16 and start where she says! :)

NOTES: Say the letter names and direction of the notes out loud correctly.
FINGERING: Say and play the finger numbers (this step was difficult today but better on the second try)
POSITION: Focus on good position three times correctly. Keep eyes on the music.
EXPRESSION: Focus on the slur (smooth and connected). Lift your wrist at the end of the slur.
RHYTHM: Set the metronome to 52 → count four beats before you start → play with the metronome!

Pressing the media button, select “Deep Blue Sea Your Part.” Practice with this until you can play with it exactly as it sounds.
It might not be correct after three tries so just do three in one day and be ok with that - try again the next day.
Remember to keep going if you make a mistake.
Once the above is correct, select the “Deep Blue Sea Accompaniment.”
Do the same as above.
