Sofia, your "reading" assignments are not completed properly for two weeks in-a-row. Please follow my instructions carefully!

 

READING

  1. Study the "Interval" staff paper.

  2. Be able to tell me about a "time signature" 

    1. See page 47 in your piano adventures book 
    2. Teach yourself about a time signature in front of a mirror every day. 

  3. PIANO ADVENTURES: LESSON BOOK

    1. REDO: Pages 52-54 - see the video above.
      1. What are the steps for learning a new piece? 
        1. Create a small goal (one - two measures) go to the downbeat of the following measure
        2. Tah the rhythm and clap the beat
        3. Say the names of the notes.

  4. PIANO ADVENTURES: PERFORMANCE BOOK 

    1. PREPARE: pages 20-21
      1. follow the instructions above for learning these pieces.

        1. Dotted Quarter Note: = 1 1/2 beats. Also = 3 eighths notes
