*THEORY
*Theory 01 05 Scales:
REVIEW THIS UNIT AGAIN AND BE ABLE TO TALLK TO ME ABOUT ANYTHING IN IT.
REMEMBER:
A SCALE ASCENDING IS GOING UP / FORWARD
TONIC, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, TONIC
A SCALE DESCENDING IS GOING DOWN / BACKWARD
TONIC, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, TONIC
The Scale “degrees” don’t change if you’re doing forward or backward. We know them by going forward.
The pattern of whole steps and half steps doesn’t change going forward or backward either. We know the pattern ascending.
