TECHNIQUE
- CREATING THE MAJOR SCALE PATTERN FROM ANY KEY.- Tonic, Whole, Whole, Half, Whole, Whole, Whole, Half 
- Practice playing whole steps on the keyboard from: - black to black 
- white to white 
- white to black 
- black to white 
 
- Remember the starting note called the “tonic” 
- Choose any starting note 
- Say the pattern out loud as you play it. - Remember: Whole Step has ONE note between two notes. It can be black or white.

MUSICIANSHIP
- *“FOUR STAR 0B 09”- You’re doing better! Keep up a positive attitude. 
 
- *“SIGHTREADING 00 46-61”- Set Metronome to m.m. 80 = quarter note. 
- Prepare TWO “days” per practice session. - Place your hands in your lap 
- Study the time signature 
- Study the rhythm (do it in your head like you do “star 2” in Four Star. 
- Set a slow and steady beat. 
- Start and DO NOT STOP if you make any mistakes. 
- After you finish, stop and then look back to see if you made any mistakes. 
- Fix them in your head and try again!
