    1. How do we identify the root and quality of a triad?

      1. Identify the root (1st degree) of the triad and label it.

      2. Find the quality of the triad

        1. The root is the 1st degree of a major or minor scale, so find out which scale fits the pattern of the triad.

    2. Do this set

    3. You’re doing better! Keep up a positive attitude.

    1. Set Metronome to m.m. 80 = quarter note.

    2. Prepare TWO “days” per practice session.

      1. Place your hands in your lap

      2. Study the time signature

      3. Study the rhythm (do it in your head like you do “star 2” in Four Star.

      4. Set a slow and steady beat.

      5. Start and DO NOT STOP if you make any mistakes.

      6. After you finish, stop and then look back to see if you made any mistakes.

      7. Fix them in your head and try again!
