1. Copy the first two phrases of your Chopin onto your staff paper. Make sure to copy EVERYTHING YOU SEE. All notes, articulations, dynamics, fingerings, etc... Be very neat and take your time with this. I'd like you to feel proud of the way it looks when you're finished. How close to the original score can you make it look?

2. Listen to the first two phrases only of both the Ashkenazy and Horrowitz recordings, found in your last lesson blog. Do the following:

Find two specific differences in each performance.
Write them down and be very specific. "The dynamics were different" doesn't count. Think about how we listened to the first half of the first measure at your lesson - Remember that Ashkenazy took time on the first bass note in the LH, whereas, Horrowitz keeps strict tempo.
