Lesson Assignments

❤️Haydn German Dance in D Major

  1. Entire piece, hands alone and hands together, at least 5 times each day. VERY SLOWLY.

❤️Four Star

  1. Follow the practice video in Newzik. Do one “day” per practice session

💜Technique

💚Angelfish by Anne Crosby Gaudet (L. 1, List B)

  1. Review. Don’t spend much time on this.

💚The Snake by Renée Christopher (L. 1, List C)

  1. Keep a good sitting position.

  2. The goal is to keep wrist above the white keys. Keep the BUBBLE!

  3. Learn hands alone to the end of the piece. The goal is to play slowly and with bubble - wrist above keys.

  4. Right Hand: be careful of the fingering change between measure 10 and 11

  5. Left Hand: double check fingering and notes between measures 7 and 8.

💚Gavotte by Handel

  1. Review once a week. But don’t spend much time on this.

  2. Practice starting from three random measures once a week.

  2. Practice what’s written and propose any changes to the melody or lyrics.
