   1. Start from the beginning of each book and place a bookmark / marker where you leave off.

   2. SIGHTREAD THROUGH THE ENTIRE BOOK FOR EACH BOOK.

   3. Strategically use your time by seeking out the measures with potential issues and study them first.

   4. ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF IN THE LAND OF WHATEVER SCALE YOU ARE IN.

   5. Rotate this Sightreading material (8 bars (ish) of phrases).

   6. 10 min each day.

   7. Set a timer for 30-45 seconds to study the music. Then start!

   8. Try to “DEAL” with your attitude toward Sightreading. Accept where you are and be a detective in terms of what you can do better before you try again.

   1. First system: new pencil markings. Voice top note at subito piano. Repeating C’s, “less-more” Take breath in pedal before sub. Piano.

   2. Second system: imagine a fly surrounding paralyzed dancers. Extra finger-legato. TT measure before start of piece in m. 17.

   3. mm. 30-31: practice super slowly. Trill starts on the G, then takes time on down beat of the F and ends the phrase with pp on the F.

      1. TRILL: start with thumb in low position and follow through with forward wrist.

   4. mm. 17-32: superimposed 12/4 time signature (4/4) so be sure to feel the strong and medium strong beats.

   5. mm. 48-64: careful bass is not too loud. RH more-less. Pedal comes up slowly from beat 2.

   6. M. 72 - lean into the C-sharp.

   7. M. 76 - subito stretto.

   8. Section C - the grace notes are too loud. Make them very soft but bring out the quarter notes.

   9. Pedaling at the end.
