HOW TO PEDAL:

  1. POSITION: bench back far enough to have heel on the floor. Your heel should always stay on the floor. The ball of your foot should be resting on the actual pedal.

  2. CHANGING THE PEDAL: Don’t come up with your foot until you press another key.

  2. Fix your sitting position. Remember where the bench should be?

  3. WRIST UP WITH FINGERS CURVED

  4. Fix the fingering in the RH measures 5-8, AND count carefully in measure 6.

  5. Practice finding each position in the colored boxes, playing them BLOCKED. Practice moving to each position as quickly as possible. When you get the hang of each position, then play it as written!

    3. THEN STUDY THE NOTE NAMES IN YOUR HEAD AND THE DIRECTION OF THE NOTES

    4. THEN PLAY WITH A STEADY SLOW BEAT.

    6. DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU’RE GIVING EACH HALF NOTE TWO BEATS! 🥸

    7. WHEN YOU FINISH, ASK YOURSELF WHAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. FIX IT IN YOUR HEAD AND DO IT AGAIN!
