    1. Do at least 1 per day.

    2. Start the metronome to hear a steady beat, then you can turn it off (66 per quarter note).

  7. 💚Pedal work

    1. Practice pedaling by playing a five finger position (very slowly) and saying / lifting your foot “up” as you play the note.

    2. When that becomes easy, add the down motion direction after the up motion.

  8. 💜Royal Conservatory of Music Technique: Prep Level

    1. See the yellow highlights.

    2. Legato:

      1. RH - when you play your 5th finger, keep the wrist raised.

    3. Staccato:

      1. Hinge only from the wrist

      2. After you strike the key, wait for at least one second to focus on being relaxed.
