Complete your assignments in the following order:
THEORY: Prep Level
Unit 4: correct the last three pages
Unit 5: PRACTICE PLAYING EVERY NOTE IN THE PACKET. ASK YOURSELF A QUESTION BEFORE EACH ONE.
(hold on Unit 6 until Solfege complete)
Continue to practice the letter names and solfège syllables:
Choose 4 different starting points.
You can pause shortly between each one.
Practice bowing before and after
Smile, make eye contact with the audience (3 seconds)
Bow from the hip. 3 seconds.
Back up for 3 seconds. SMILE

Bunny Hops
Drop your RH hand into the keyboard, “hooking” finger two on C-sharp with a low wrist
As you play finger 3 on D-sharp, pop your wrist up to “hop” off the key!
Remember to have a relaxed arm and hand when you hop off the keys.
Repeat with LH and also starting with finger 3 moving to finger 2!
Black Key Staccato Wrists “forward-poke”
Onc hand at a time, practice playing the 2 sets of black keys with fingers 2 and 3
Pick up the bubble from the bench
Make sure your fingers are round / curved
Drop your round hand onto the keys with a level wrist as if you’re going to poke the keys.
As soon as you poke the keys, pop your wrists up and bounce off the keys as if they were too hot to touch!
Do the same thing above but with the 3 sets, fingers 2, 3 and 4.
Now try it hands together!
