  1. Start learning by memorizing all the green / red markings on the page.

  2. Learn 2-4 measures at a time, hands alone first:

    1. “BLOCK” the left hand chords.

    2. Keep LH blocked and add the RH.

    3. Both hands as written.

    4. Don’t need to add pedal at the moment.

  2. PRACTICE SIGHT-READING NO FASTER THAN M.M. 50 PER QUARTER NOTE.

  3. Please use the metronome for every assignment.

    1. Identify the time signature

    2. Clap the beat and ta the rhythm IN YOUR MIND

    3. Study the contour (shape) of the notes and the distance between them (intervals).

    4. Set a steady (slow) beat, then begin.

    5. Don’t correct anything in real-time.
