Debussy wrote two books of Préludes, each with 12 pieces. Rather than titles at the top, he placed them at the end — like secrets revealed only after listening.
“Vwal” is from Book 1, and its title could mean either “sails” or “veils” in French. The music floats like fabric in the wind or mist drifting across the sea.

This gavotte is part of Bach’s French Suite Number five — written not in France, but in Germany, and in the French style. The music is graceful, precise, and is part of a group of dances, many of which were created in the 16th century.
recital 🎹💚Bird in the Bebop by Wynn-Anne Rossi (L. 2, Etude)
Have more fun with this piece!
This piece sounds just like a clock! With repeating notes and a steady beat, it helps students feel rhythm while imagining the ticking of time. It’s simple, playful, and a great way to practice even timing and hand coordination.
