đź’›Position! Memorize the info below on good position:

  1. Keep wrists above the white keys

  2. “soft claws” - don’t play on your nails, but play on the pads with round fingers.

  3. When you play half notes or whole notes, slightly lift your wrist

đź’šReading Exercises for Solfege (blue book)

  1. Practice pages 15-19 at metronome 60, 80, and pass off at 100.

  2. Remember not to stop if you make a mistake - pretend it didn’t happen and move on to keep with the metronome / beat.

đź’šBasic Rhythmic Training (red book)

  1. Conduct the beat (small down-stem notes) and “tah” the rhythm (up-stem notes) to a steady beat.

  2. Remember to hold the sound of your voice for the full duration of the note

  3. Do this for Nos. 9 and 10

  1. Prepare pages 9 and 10

  2. To pass off: bubble hand (round fingertips, raised wrist), correct notes, fingering, and rhythm.
