  3. 💚Ecossaise by Beethoven (L. 2, A)

    1. Please play quietly in the beginning.

    2. ❤️❤️Measures 10 and 12: keep your left hand staccato for all the notes. Practice this three times correctly each practice session.

      1. “Zoom in, then zoom out”

    3. Practice hands alone, one time each day.

  4. 💚Technical Requirements for Piano: Level 1

    1. Assignment: Memorize all items. So practice with and without music.

      1. Rotate through all technical items - Ideally, once a day, but if this is too much, keep track of where you leave off and pick up from there the next day. Keep rotating to get through all of them as many times as possible per week.

  5. 💚Mist by Clifford Pool (L. 1, B)

    1. Assignment:

      1. No faster than m.m. 88

      2. Reprint your music from Newzik and see all of the new markings.

    1. Hands Together:

      1. Two measures at a time.

      2. Hands alone first

      3. ❤️Then hands together, one note at a time until you KNOW that the notes and fingering are correct. DON’T KEEP A STEADY BEAT. Notes and fingering are most important.

      4. THEN when you can step 3 above, start to add a steady beat but please keep it SLOW.

  9. 💚The Snake (L. 1, C)

    1. Assignment:

      1. Hands alone with music, once a day, focusing on raised wrists and fingers curved.

      2. Hands together with and without music.

      3. Practice starting from three random spots each day.

  10. 💚Ukrainian Folk Song by Beethoven (L. 1, A)

    1. Play through LH and RH alone, no faster then m.m. 66 per quarter note, once a day.

    2. Play through once a day at a medium tempo m.m. 80 per quarter note.

    3. Play through with the audio I texted your piano text thread (YOU CAN PLAY THIS ON YOUR WATCH!)

    4. Then as many times as you like at m.m. 132 per quarter note.

  11. 💚Celebration by Anne Crosby-Gaudet (L. Etude)

    1. Practice once a day with m.m. 72 per quarter note.

    2. Make sure you’re pedaling with the ball of your foot and keep your heel on the floor.

    3. Practice starting from any measure of the piece - ONCE EVERY PRACTICE SESSION.

    4. Practice with and without music.

  13. 🖤Hanon: The Virtuoso Pianist No. 3

    1. Assignment:

      1. Transpose to F Major and play INSIDE the black before 5th or 1st fingers play on F-sharp.

      2. Fingers never leaving the surface of the keys.

      3. Close-loud once each day.

    2. Method:

      1. Strong attack on each note, then immediately relax.

      2. Pop the wrist up slightly on each attack.

      3. Don’t slide on the keys.

      4. One time through each day.
