  1. **Technical Requirements Level 2

    1. PREPARE: all of the scales on page 9

      1. Say the name of the scale / key

      2. Say “the scale of one sharp - f-sharp” (for G major for example.)

      3. Where does finger 4 hang out?

      4. Play close-loud

      5. Play legato

      6. Don’t let your wrist drop when you play finger 1

    2. Be able to tell me about the relative major and minor keys and how we can find them.

      1. If you’re in a major key, go to the 6th scale degree to find the minor.

      2. If you’re in a minor key, go to the 3rd scale degree to find the major.

      1. LOOK AT THE RHYTHM FIRST. DO IT IN YOUR HEAD.

      2. THEN LOOK AT THE KEY SIGNATURE - WHAT SCALE IS IT? WHAT ARE THE INTERVALS OF THE NOTES?
