1. See the highlighted items in your syllabus.

   1. Hands alone first, then together. Three times correctly, each.

   2. Memorize all of the tempo markings and make sure to not go faster than indicated!

   3. For each item, do:

      1. High Loud

      2. Close Loud

      3. Staccato

      4. Slow-medium legato - NO FASTER THAN m.m. 60 per two notes

      5. Speed-build legato

1. FOR EACH SECTION, DO THE FOLLOWING:

   1. SLOW WORK:

      1. RH, LH AND HT NO FASTER THAN M.M. 76 PER 8TH NOTE. (Close loud)

   2. MEDIUM TEMPI:

      1. M.m. 76, 80 and 84

      2. In order to move on to the next tempo, all notes, fingering and expression need to be correct.

2. AFTER YOUR SECTION PRACTICE, DO THE FOLLOWING:

   1. FINAL TEMPI:

      1. M.M. 96, 100 and 104

      2. Play through with and without music at the above tempi. The goal is to have everything correct.

1. Play through, performance-style, moving through any issues - don’t stop.

2. Remember any issues you had and go back to spot those areas.

3. Hands alone practice entire piece, three times in one week.

4. Slow-medium practice, entire pieces, three times in one week. No faster than m.m. 54 per quarter note. If you make a mistake at this tempo, go back one measures to fix it before you move on.

5. Practice starting from any measure of the piece.
