💚Sight-Reading: Celebrate Piano Solos 3

  1. Start from p. 9

  2. Sight-read 8 measures at a time (repeat the same 8 measures if necessary).

  3. Two 8 measure chunks per practice session.

  4. Raise your tempo each time if it’s at a fast tempo.

  5. PLEASE KEEP A STEADY BEAT AND PLAY THROUGH MISTAKES.

  2. Pay attention to scale degrees and chords / triads. Identify which ones they are! :)

    1. Hands alone first, then together. Three times correctly, each.

    2. Memorize all of the tempo markings and make sure to not go faster than indicated!

    3. For each item, do:

      1. Close Loud

      2. Staccato

      3. Slow-medium legato - NO FASTER THAN m.m. 60 per two notes

      4. Speed-build legato
