If the fingers are running into the strings behind, the hand is too far behind the strings. Metronome up to 120 subdivided. Free stroke practice slower at first.

Start slow with metronome on the eighth note at 120 work up to 180 and then switched to metronome on the quarter subdivided. Once each line is comfortable start combining. 1 &2nd lines and the. 3rd&4th lines. Once those are comfortable try playing whole piece. If you are stumbling on the transitions between lines slow down. Use metronome to keep yourself steady.
