  2. At least 50-60% of the time, your eyes should be on the music.

  3. Learn to the end of the piece

    1. Remember the pattern and sequence we found! It moves by octave.

    2. Practice the LH rhythm as we did at your lesson

      1. Find the beats first

      2. Place an 8th note grid over the beats

      3. Clap the beat and ta the rhythm

      4. Cap the beat and say the names of the notes in place of the ta

      5. Then play!

  2. SET A METRONOME TO 60 PER QUARTER NOTE

    1. STUDY THE TIME SIGNATURE

    2. DO THE RHYTHM IN YOUR HEAD

    3. THEN STUDY THE NOTE NAMES IN YOUR HEAD AND THE DIRECTION OF THE NOTES

    4. THEN PLAY WITH A STEADY SLOW BEAT.

    5. KEEP YOUR WRISTS UP

    6. DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU’RE GIVING EACH HALF NOTE TWO BEATS! 🥸

    7. WHEN YOU FINISH, ASK YOURSELF WHAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. FIX IT IN YOUR HEAD AND DO IT AGAIN!
