#2💚RCM Technical Requirements Level 02

Do the highlighted yellow items listed on page 1
Broken Triads: B-flat Major. Keep further up into the black keys (for example when RH finger 5 plays on the white keys).
#3💚Four Star: Level 2: Four Star Finish Set 10
(Approx. 7-10 min each day)
Sight-reading. Start back at the beginning of the sight-reading tests (in the tests PDF) and move through them throughout the week. You don’t need to do all of them. Just do one or two per day.
Practice playbacks in steps:
Identify the tonic or dominant
Then play two notes: identify tonic or dominant followed by identifying the interval (1, 2, 3 of 5)
Add another note and do the same as above.
#4💛Interval & Chord Recognition
Major 3rd, Minor 3rd or Perfect 5th
Play the interval ascending and descending once.

Play several of these each practice session.

Practice with metronome 104, 108, then 116
Good work on incorporating body movement, but remember: the audience will be able to tell if you’re doing it “because you have to.” 😎 Try to pick a few spots for the movement where you really mean it, or can connect the movement to the music. You can take out the majority of the movements, otherwise.
Measure 25: start softly, then crescendo.

Good work on the ornaments (trill and mordant). Try to make them a little softer this week. Next week we will work on the speed of the ornaments.
RH measure 4: I know you can’t quite reach an octave, but please try to connect as much as you can (the descending G to G in Beats 1-2).
LH measure 31: Please look at the notes carefully (one wrong). And please lift up on beat two of the LH.
