Remember to always lift fingers for every key.

On a staff paper, draw the following:
F Major Scale in the treble clef, ascending and descending, three times.
F Major Scale in the bass clef, ascending and descending, three times.
G Major Scale in the treble clef, ascending and descending, three times.
G Major Scale in the bass clef, ascending and descending, three times.
Write T for tonic and D for dominant under each appropriate note.

Continue to practice starting from any measure of the piece. Prepare well enough in your mind before you begin to be able to start and not stop (no mistakes on the first notes).

PRACTICE WITH THE METRONOME AT THE FOLLOWING TEMPI (Mom’s help would be good here).
Think about the “downbeat” (the first beat in every measure), trying to line it up with the strong beat of the metronome (this is if you set the “beat” to 4 in Newzik.
